STEP 1 — WELCOME
🏫 Year 7 Transition & Belonging Programme
A full-day Summer School transition programme delivered by HeadssUp, helping pupils feel welcomed, connected and confident as they begin secondary school.
Includes:
✓ Full-day Summer School Transition Session
✓ Focus on sense of self, wellbeing and friendships
✓ Introduction to the HeadssUp framework and shared wellbeing language
✓ Preparation for the practical, academic, connection and emotional (PACE) adjustments of secondary school
STEP 2 — UNDERSTAND
📊 Year 7 Transition Tracking Framework
Two pupil wellbeing and transition surveys provide meaningful insight into how pupils are adapting throughout Year 7.
Delivered:
✓ Baseline survey during Summer School or September
✓ Follow-up survey in February
Measures:
✓ Sense of belonging
✓ Friendship development
✓ Wellbeing
✓ Confidence
✓ Adjustment to secondary school

To ensure Summer School delivery and baseline surveys can be scheduled, implementation discussions are encouraged before the end of June.
